Exhaust back pressure and wastegate dome pressure both pulse hard, which gives noisy readings and can hurt pressure sensors. The RIFE Back Pressure Damping Canister fits inline between the pressure source and your sensor to soak up those pulses. On the exhaust side, it gives you a clean back pressure reading. In a boost control system, plumbed to the dome pressure sensor, it steadies the reading so the ECU makes smaller corrections and holds boost target more consistently.
