The RIFE 5V Plus+ takes the 5V reference from your ECU or data logger, plus 12V battery power and ground, and amplifies it into eight protected 5V outputs. Each channel has its own protection, so if one sensor or wire shorts out, the other channels keep working normally. The result is a steady 5V reference, more reliable sensor data and much easier fault finding.
Features
- 4 protected 5V circuits with two outputs each (8 outputs in total)
- 300 mA of 5V supply per channel
- Each channel protected against high and low voltage faults on the other channels
- Internal amplifier keeps the 5V reference steady, so sensor scaling does not drift
- Status LED for each channel
- 12 pin Deutsch DTM style connector
- Billet CNC machined case
- Designed, built and tested in the USA
What’s Included
- 1 x RIFE 5V Plus+ wiring module (52-1504)
- Not included: mating connector (12 pin DTM plug), sold separately
Specifications
- Part number: 52-1504
- Supply voltage: 8 to 20V DC
- Outputs: 8 x 5V (4 protected channels)
- Current: 300 mA per channel
- Connector: 12 pin Deutsch DTM style
Wiring
Connect the 5V reference from your ECU or logger, a 12V battery feed and ground. Split your sensors across the four channels so mission critical sensors are kept apart from the rest, for example:
- Channel 1: cam, crank, fuel pressure, MAP and TPS
- Channel 2: oil pressure, coolant temp and transmission pressure
- Channel 3: shock and ride height sensors
- Channel 4: driveshaft and wheel speed sensors
Status LEDs: green is normal operation, solid red is a low voltage fault (sensor or circuit shorted to ground), flashing red is a high voltage fault (sensor shorted to power).
Good to Know
- Ideal for ECUs with only one or two 5V reference outputs, as it removes the need for splices and breakout boxes.
- For racing use only. Not for road use.
