RIFE Hi IAT sensors use an ultra-fast response thermistor that reads air temperature quicker and more accurately than typical EFI air temp sensors, so your ECU can make sharper, safer corrections to the tune. The Hi range is made for turbo and blower cars, as an intake air temp sensor or for measuring compressor outlet temperature, and is optimised for accuracy between 40 to 485°F (4 to 252°C).
Features
- 1/4″ NPT thread
- Up to 15x faster response than standard EFI air temp sensors
- Up to 3x more accurate readings
- Hard anodised, CNC machined housing
- 2 pin Deutsch DTM style connector
- Machined and assembled by RIFE in the USA
What’s Included
- 1 x RIFE Hi IAT sensor (1/4″ NPT, DTM connector)
- Not included: mating connector (2 pin DTM plug), sold separately
Specifications
- Part number: 53-1009
- Thread: 1/4″ NPT
- Temperature range: 40 to 485°F (4 to 252°C)
- Most accurate between: 40 to 485°F (4 to 252°C)
- Sensor type: NTC thermistor
- Connector: 2 pin Deutsch DTM style
Fitment
Suits Holley, MoTeC and other aftermarket ECUs and data loggers that accept a custom air temp calibration. Not compatible with FuelTech or Haltech ECUs.
Wiring
Thermistors have no polarity, so either pin can be wired to signal or sensor ground.
Good to Know
- Not plug and play with a factory ECU. Your ECU or logger must be set up with the RIFE calibration (RIFE publish guides for Holley and MoTeC).
- Because of its high temperature ceiling, resolution at low temperatures is reduced. For general intake temps, the RIFE Standard IAT is the better choice.
- Running FuelTech or Haltech? Use a RIFE Standard IAT instead. It can be set up to read up to about 450°F (232°C).
- For racing use only. Not for road use.
